Please note a motor output exceeding 250w and speed assistance exceeding 15.5mph means it cannot be used on UK public roads without first obtaining type approval, insurance, tax, displaying a number plate and undergoing an MOT.
In the UK, only converison kits that comply with EAPC Regulations can be used on UK public roads without tax, insurance or registration. A conversion kit above 250W can only be used off-road on private land.

For the avoidance of doubt, you will be responsible for obtaining such type approval, insurance, tax, registration and MOT.
Once a kit has been fitted, a refund can't be processed as the item has been used.

Cycle to work Scheme
The Cycle to Work Scheme is a Government-backed initiative to encourage people to cycle to their place of work, and consequently reduce environmental pollution. It's also a way for you to save money on the cost of your cycle and spread the cost over a number of months, through your pay packet.
How do I get a conversion kit through Cycle to Work?
If they haven't already, your employer needs to register with one of the Cycle to Work Schemes in order to offer this benefit to their employees. Once they are signed up with a scheme, the employee needs to find a cycle retailer who is also registered with that scheme.
Electric Bike Conversions is registered with four of these schemes - Bike2Work, Cycle Scheme, Green Commute Initiative and CyclePlus. You'll see our name listed on each of these schemes such as Earth Cycles or Bike Bros. These are other names we trade under, but we are the same company.

Green Commute Initiative - Our recommendation!
Once the necessary paperwork is completed you will usually be issued with a certificate by your employer or Cycle to Work Scheme that you can use to purchase the kit from us. Your employer pays for the conversion kit via the scheme and the scheme then pays us for the purchase once you have collected the kit and provided us with your certificate.
If the kit is being delivered or installed by us, we can receive the certificate digitally. We'll also sometimes ask for proof of ID, depending on the scheme. The cost of the bike is then deducted from your salary over a period of time, but as you don't pay tax or NI on the income that's deducted, you make a saving on what you would pay if you purchased outright. This saving will vary depending on which tax band you fall into!
Due to the cost of running the Cycle To Work Schemes we have to add a 10% fee on top of the kit price, otherwise we cannot afford to be apart of the scheme. Sorry for the inconvenience.

No e-bike motor is as powerful and smoothly operating at the same time as the neodrives drive unit. The motor is positioned directly in the rear wheel and develops power exactly where it is needed. This means that the chain, pinion etc. are not exposed to higher loads. Due to the sensitive force sensor in the motor you can clearly feel the immediate response during the acceleration process. The maximum torque of 40 Nm is always fully available to the pedelec rider, regardless of the gear selection. This distinguishes the rear motor from the mid-drive motor.

Clever commuters save the regular exchange of parts subject to wear. The neodrives motor protects parts subject to wear, such as the chain and shifter, due to its position directly in the rear wheel. In contrast to the mid-drive motors on the market, there is no gearbox in the neodrives rear motor. Therefore, completely silent and vibration-free riding prevails through the use of the hub motor. Smooth cycling is also a matter of acoustics. The motor assistance is not betrayed immediately by loud "whirring". This contributes to a high riding quality and inspires all neodrives cyclists.
Energy Recovery

Recharge your batteries when riding downhill! A special feature of our neodrives wheel hub motor is the possibility to recharge the battery when riding downhill through so-called energy recovery. This is not only environmentally friendly but also ensures an even greater range, especially on long tours. Energy recovery extends the battery range by well over 10%. At the same time, the motor serves as brake assistance in this mode and protects the brake linings of your e-bike. The additional braking effect means additional riding comfort for neodrives riders.
